Very nice! Let there be shade!
We have four, 4' by 16' of these on a 15' (length) frame mounted to our deck. We didn't measure the actual length of each but it is a lot more than 16' (otherwise they would be almost flat). They seem well made and we think they will last a long time. The brackets look like they can come apart so you can change material if need be. Each runner comes with everything you need to install it. The only thing that worries me is the control tape as it is just a piece of cloth with holes in it. Anything bulkier, like chain, just adds weight and will get in the way when closing the shades so they would never close flush.Install tips:1 When setting you cable length be sure that each side (short end) is equidistant so the carabiners can hang freely and won't bind/twist when opening or closing.2 Each carabiner needs to be aligned on the track to the same distance as your cable rungs using two included set screws (ours are four foot wide runners and the carabiners/cable are three feet apart in the pictures). Adjust the runner before you hang them.3 The cable length is a continuous run with a loop on one end. You make the other loop with a bracket at the right length and add tension with the included turnbuckle. Run the cable through the brackets, find where you need the loop (pulling tightly) and then make it an inch shorter and really heave it onto the tuenbuckle. It should be pretty tight before you start turning the turnbuckle or you will run out of tension and have to reset your cable length.4 They give you more cable than you need so the excess will likely need to be trimmed. I used bolt cutters, normal wire snips won't cut steel cable. To avoid fraying wrap two pieces of electrical tape around cable leaving a small distance between them and cut between the tape.5 THE STEEL CABLES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE OILED! The instructions say twice a year. It's too soon for us to speak to whether or not you actually need to do this or any actual benefit but I plan on doing it once in the fall and another in the spring, when we take them down for winter and before we put them up again. I couldn't imagine oiling with the runners in place due to dripping oil on the material.6 You need the control tape to set the same distance for each swoop otherwise you first runs will be flatter than the last. To rind the right length, figure how many swoops you are going to have and divide you length by that number. Measure the same length on the control tape and count the number of holes to get that length. Count the same number of holes for each section and cut off the excess tape. Also, keep the control tape flat when attaching. It looks bad twisted.7 Leave some space between the shades so they don't hit each other when opening or closing, or blowing in the wind.8 Measure, mark with a pencil, and then double check your marks before actually installing anything.Good luck!

Grateful for much-needed shade
We placed this over an outdoor area that was unbearably hot and sunny. This was just what we needed! It made the area much more functional for us. The quality is good. Hanging it takes a little patience and measuring. I wish the instructions for measuring desired length had been a little clearer because ultimately ours ended up being a little longer than needed, but we compensated for that by having a section that hangs down on either end (see pic). It's a bit noisy when the wind is strong, but that's something we can live with.

Great Durability and Professional Looking
These were kind of a pain to string up because there's no good way to tell without just manually counting the holes to determine how much of a crescent you want unfortunately. However they look good and haven't frayed still even after multiple months in heavy wind, rain, and even beating against each other. These were a great option to provide shade for my pergola and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do the same.

Wow! Great Value and complete sun shade with a stylish factor.
Update: We have had these almost 3 years and they still work great. I would do it all over again. The fabric that spaces the dips does need to be replaced, but hey, we live in 100F summers and that' an easy fix. Looking for something a bit tougher though.I looked into a company installing an upscale shade cloth. They wanted $9,000 for the same area we installed the Windscreen4less canopy which came to $1,200 out the door. We purchased 2ea @ 3 feet and 1ea at 4 feet in order to fit into our space, spacing at 2 inches. the ends are cut and it doesn't look finished, however when the canopy is in use, you won't notice. We aren't super handy but with basic math and a little knowledge at working a drill and screws. You need two people to attached the cable because it needs to be snug and my hands ached getting it right. We didn't rush this project and installed one panel each day. Think this project through and you'll be glad you did. Like any other retractable shade, you will need to securely attach them on each end otherwise the slope of the cable and breeze/wind will move them around. We will be using hardware to securely attach to the posts. One review stated that the aclips cannot be rotated and the instructions require gate to open inward. Looks like the manufacture updated the system and our clips don't look like the prior one posted. We had no trouble and the clips can be removed easily. Now I need to figure out how to make it retractable both ways.

Once you get through to Jason warranty and service is perfect
I had issues with the company until Jason took over. They have issues they need to fix. But Jason's service is first cllass and I finally got everything resolved. So on that basis, my confidence is restored in Windscreen.

Beige color looks yellow- Return shipping on buyer
The item color was much different than what some of the photos show. The beige is much more a light yellow. Be warned that there are no free returns and it is very expensive to ship back. It cost me $50 to return... That's about 33% of the cost of the item itself just to get my refund.

Gorgeous!
Needed these for our kiddos playing outside in our new backyard that gets a lot of sun. It was a little tedious to set up and you need a second person to help install them but we are so happy!! These are gorgeous!! Came with extra pieces and have held up for the past 2 weeks in our hot Vegas Summers. Love this product! It really elevates the whole experience of our backyard. Makes it feel bigger!
